About the Artistic Artifacts Collection

The  Artistic Artifacts Collection is a new series of jewelry pieces created with the remnants of the creative process. Each piece highlights and preserves a found object from artists' studios, ranging from a sample of mixed oil paint to a singular pencil shaving; a cluster of broken plaster to a piece of a paper palette. "I find these materials compelling because they carry a visual narrative," writes the artist. "I love the idea of holding the studio close to your chest, like talismans of the creative process." These objects of culture cannot be purchased manufactured. Like individual art pieces, each piece is original and irreplaceable. They function as artifacts of the creative process, telling the story behind their creation.
